Revered techno DJ set to return to Worthy Farm once more to play Glastonbury 2020
Carl Cox has announced that he’ll join confirmed acts Wolf Mother and Diana Ross at Worthy Farm next Summer for Glastonbury Festival 2020.
Ibiza’s most famous resident DJ told fans he will be heading to Worthy Farm in an on-camera interview with DJ Mag after receiving the Highest Techno award and being named number 35 in their top 100 DJs poll.
Speaking to DJ Mag – after winning the Highest Techno award in this year’s DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll and landing the No.35 spot overall – the house and techno record producer and DJ,
Carl told DJ Mag the following: “We’ve got the 50 years of Glastonbury coming up, so I’m looking forward to be playing that, and that’s going to be something which is a landmark of Glastonbury musical history.”
Who next for Glastonbury Festival?
Now Carl Cox has officially signed up for what is undoubtedly the music biggest festival on earth, it remains to be seen who else will sign up.
Paul McCartney is heavily rumoured to take to the stage at some point during the festival, as is Madonna, The 1975 and Taylor Swift.
Only earlier this week Scottish rock sensations Biffy Clyro said they were waiting to be asked to headline Glastonbury Festival, but it remains to be seen whether the call will come.
Glastonbury Festival 2020 will take place at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset from Wednesday 24th to Sunday 28th June.
